Codexis Inc in Redwood City seeks an experienced Process Engineer to drive process development for the ECO Synthesis platform, pushing bench‑scale processes toward GMP production. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to advance sustainable oligonucleotide manufacturing technologies that disrupt traditional synthesis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field; 10+ years industrial experience.
• Experience in flow chemistry, biocatalysis, or oligonucleotide synthesis technologies.
• Proven scale-up leadership including tech transfer to pilot or commercial manufacturing.
• Proficiency with process modeling tools (Aspen Plus, SuperPro) and data analytics (R, Python).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on process development leadership for ECO Synthesis platform.
• Lead scale-up strategy ensuring robustness for cGMP manufacturing.
• Champion lab safety and maintain compliant workspaces.
• Ensure batch records, SOPs, and reports meet GDP standards.
• Deliver technical reports, presentations, and tech transfer packages.
• Create engineering design tools: mass/energy balances, PFDs, equipment specs.
• Serve as liaison with external vendors for equipment selection and support.
