Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Senior Scientist, Analytical Validation – NGS & Molecular Diagnostics in Sunnyvale, CA for an innovative biotech client. The role focuses on designing, executing, and documenting analytical validation studies that ensure assay performance, robustness, and readiness for regulatory milestones.

The candidate should have deep molecular biology expertise, strong statistical thinking, and hands-on NGS workflow experience, including cfDNA workflows, library prep, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with cell-free nucleic acid workflows or cfDNA preferred.
• Strong NGS library preparation and assay development background.
• Experience designing analytical validation studies for molecular assays or NGS products.
• Familiarity with statistical study design and analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute analytical validation studies for molecular diagnostic assays and NGS-based testing.
• Develop study designs, acceptance criteria, and statistical analysis plans.
• Lead validation studies covering LoB, LoD, LoQ, sensitivity, specificity, and robustness.
• Perform NGS library prep steps and assess sample quality.
• Analyze sequencing metrics and collaborate with bioinformatics teams.
• Prepare validation reports and cross-functional documentation.
