Job summary

EMD Serono is seeking a Scientist II, Preclinical Pharmacology to lead independent in vivo pharmacology studies across multiple therapeutic areas, contributing to translational PK/PD and biomarker strategies. You will manage disease models, perform surgical procedures, and coordinate biomarker readouts, with CRO partners to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with drug discovery experience in pharma/biotech.
• Advanced degree with substantial in vivo pharmacology exposure.
• Strong background in translational PK/PD and biomarker strategies.

Responsibilities

• Establish and optimize in vivo disease models to defined validation milestones.
• Build disease models to evaluate efficacy, target engagement, and translational relevance.
• Perform in vivo pharmacology studies with diverse administration routes and sample collection.
• Support biomarker strategy execution including fluid, tissue, and molecular readouts.
• Manage CRO partnerships to extend capacity while maintaining quality.
