Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist in Spring House, PA to define mechanistic insights from phenotypic assays based on spatial omics disease maps.

The candidate will design and execute complex cellular assays, including CRISPR perturbations, MPRA, and high-throughput screening across immune, neural, and oncologic contexts, with cross‑functional collaboration and ongoing spatial omics training.

Qualifications

• PhD in genetics, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology or a related discipline is required.
• Post-doctoral fellowship or equivalent industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and optimize genetic libraries for CRISPR perturbation and multiplexed studies.
• Develop and execute complex phenotypic assays, including high-content imaging, pooled optical screens, and MPRA.
• Engineer advanced cellular models, including immune cells and models relevant to immunology, neuroscience, and oncology.
• Establish and optimize FACS-based workflows, including sorting strategies and multicolor panel design.
• Implement and refine pooled and arrayed screening platforms with robust library delivery and expression.
• Utilize organoid, co-culture, and microenvironment-mimicking systems; collaborate with computational scientists for data interpretation.
• Drive assay innovation and expand experimental capabilities across spatial omics approaches.
