Job summary

Parexel FSP is seeking a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee daily lab operations onsite in Rahway, NJ, on a long-term assignment as a full-time employee. The role emphasizes safe, efficient use of laboratory resources and acts as the primary contact for lab staff.

You will manage equipment maintenance, prepare mobile phase and stock solutions, receive samples, and coordinate technicians.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience for Scientist 3.
• Experience in laboratory operations and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for laboratory functions and staff guidance.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during stand-downs and initiatives.
• Manage temperature storage facilities and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays.
• Receive samples via the laboratory management system and ensure readiness for testing.
• Submit work orders for lab equipment and coordinate technician activities.
• Escort and supervise on-site equipment technicians.
