Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator to manage daily lab operations as a full-time Parexel FSP employee on a long-term assignment at Rahway, NJ. The role focuses on efficient use of lab resources and maintaining safety practices.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS in a life sciences or engineering field with 3–5 years of relevant experience and hands-on experience with chromatography techniques and instrument troubleshooting.

Qualifications

BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline.
3–5 years of experience for Scientist 3; 5+ years for Senior Scientist I.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions, providing guidance and support to laboratory staff.
Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during stand-downs and organizational initiatives.
Manage temperature storage facilities, including emergency protocols and scheduled clean-outs.
Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays, ensuring they remain stocked and within expiry date.
Receive samples through the laboratory management system, ensuring samples are ready for testing.
Submit work orders for lab equipment and calibrations; schedule technicians and supervise activities.
Schedule preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment; supervise equipment technicians.
Review backordered items and maintain updated inventories of essential supplies.
