Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the CI Inflammation team within the Department of Computational Innovation.

The role partners with CI Leads and cross-functional project teams to advance the Immunology & Respiratory portfolio from Pre-LO through Candidate Selection, generating computational evidence to inform disease biology, target rationale, novel therapeutic concepts, and patient stratification strategies.

Qualifications

• PhD required with posts’ relevant drug discovery experience preferred.
• Expertise in analyzing large-scale biological datasets (single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Ability to translate complex findings into decision-relevant insights for drug discovery teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CI Leads to develop integrated evidence packages for project milestones.
• Generate and document in silico evidence addressing disease biology, target rationale, and translational relevance.
• Apply multi-omics and AI/ML approaches to analyze datasets and inform portfolio decisions.
• Communicate assumptions, results, uncertainties, and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
