Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Scientist to lead integrated computational and experimental inflammation discovery. You will advance inflammation programs by generating rigorous evidence, coordinating teams, and applying AI-enabled analytics to deepen disease understanding and guide therapeutic hypotheses.

You will design experiments, integrate data across sources, and contribute to publications and patents while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant scientific experience.
• Experience applying computational biology, AI-enabled tools, or predictive modeling to discovery research.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and to communicate complex data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret bench experiments addressing critical questions.
• Apply advanced experimental, computational, and data-analytic approaches to generate mechanistic insight.
• Develop and implement novel approaches to improve discovery program efficiency and translational relevance.
• Lead activities within project teams, coordinating contributions from multiple disciplines.
• Deliver data-driven recommendations for target and program go/no-go decisions.
