Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Scientist in Inflammation Human Data & Computational Biology to accelerate discovery and development of innovative therapies. The role combines wet-lab biology with AI/ML-driven analytics to understand disease mechanisms and inform experimental design.

The successful candidate will generate high-quality data, integrate diverse data sources, and participate in scientific discussions and portfolio reviews.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (PhD/MD/PharmD) and 2+ years of industry experience in inflammation/immunology research.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of industry experience in inflammation/immunology.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of industry experience in inflammation/immunology.

Responsibilities

• Apply computational and AI-driven approaches to generate mechanistic insights.
• Design, execute, analyze, and interpret studies to investigate disease mechanisms.
• Generate high-quality experimental data to support target identification and validation.
• Integrate findings with literature, human genetics, and clinical observations.
• Present findings and recommendations to project teams and governance forums.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing.
