Washington University in St. Louis, on the Medical Campus in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a Senior Scientist for the Gillanders lab in the Department of Surgery to advance translational studies in Immuno-Oncology and personalized cancer vaccines.

The ideal candidate has experience with human cells from clinical trials, ELISpot, flow cytometry, and molecular biology, and can manage data and collaborate with other lab personnel. Salary is competitive for the grade and location.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree; combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Postdoctoral experience (3 years) as stated in the job posting.
• Analytical problem solving and lab techniques are valued.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates on designing, conducting and reporting of research projects.
• Assists with grant preparation and reporting; may submit grant proposals with approvals.
• Prepares and submits papers on research.
• Develops hypotheses to be tested and methods to test them.
• Complies with safety procedures and maintains documentation for lab and specimen conditions.
• Manages research projects with other institutions and investigators.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
