Job summary

ModeX Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist with strong hands-on Immuno-Oncology/Immunology experience to support the development of novel immune therapies. You will design, execute, and interpret cell-based studies using primary immune cells and relevant assays to evaluate biologic drug candidates and characterize their mechanism of action.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell biology, or related field with 10+ years of research experience.
  • Biotech/pharma R&D experience of 4+ years in immunology/immunotherapy.
  • Proven ability to design, execute, and interpret functional assays with primary immune cells.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing biologic drugs for Immunotherapy and Immunology.
  • Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro/ex vivo studies.
  • Develop complex immune cell-based functional assays using primary cells, tumor lines, and co-culture models.
  • Design and troubleshoot multicolor flow cytometry panels and gating strategies.
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, translational, and project teams.
  • Contribute to scientific reports and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

ModeX Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist with strong hands‑on experience in Immuno‑oncology/Immunology to support the development and progression of novel immune therapies. The successful candidate will design, execute, and interpret cell‑based studies using primary immune cells and relevant assay systems to evaluate biologic drug candidates, characterize their mechanism of action, and address biological questions.   • Play a key role in the development of new biologic drugs for Immunotherapy and Immunology
  • Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro/ex vivo studies to characterize drug candidates and their mechanisms of action
  • Develop and perform complex immune cell‑based functional assays using primary immune cells (human and mouse), tumor cell lines, reporter systems, and co‑culture models
  • Design, optimize and troubleshoot multicolor flow cytometry panels, including compensation/unmixing, antibody titration and gating strategies
  • Analyze experimental data, generate clear conclusions, and provide data‑driven recommendations to advance research programs
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with discovery, translational and project teams to ensure data‑driven decision‑making and timely progression of programs.
  • Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and project updates, and effectively communicate findings to cross‑functional teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experimental activities and ensure compliance with applicable laboratory standards and data integrity practices.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or M.S. Degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell biology, Immuno‑oncology, or a related scientific field, with 10+ years of relevant research experience, including at least 4+ years in a biotech or pharmaceutical R&D environment
  • Strong, hands‑on expertise in Immunotherapy and Immunology, with the ability to independently evaluate and apply new concepts and immunoassays
  • Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and interpreting functional assays using primary immune cells, including multi‑parameter flow cytometry, cytokine profiling (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, or equivalent), immune activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assays.
  • Hands‑on experience with flow cytometry panel design, optimization, and data analysis; spectral flow cytometry experience is desirable
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and drive projects forward in a fast‑paced biotech environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex data clearly to scientific and cross‑functional audiences
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, data analysis, and problem‑solving skills
  • Highly collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas, work across teams, and mentor junior team members as needed
