Job summary

Alcami is seeking a Sr. Scientist I for Analytical Testing (HPLC) in Morrisville, NC.

The role focuses on routine and non-routine analytical testing supporting pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on HPLC methods, compendial or client-provided procedures, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will develop and validate methods, interpret data, and support audits and investigations, working in a 1st shift on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or Ph.D. with 2+ years.
• 2+ years of experience in Pharmaceuticals drug product development under cGMP is required.
• CDMO experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses advanced skills in multiple techniques to include assays (potencies, related substances), dissolution/drug release, residual solvents, impurities, moisture content, identification.
• Develops and validates methods, test procedures, protocols, and reports.
• Maintains knowledge of instrumentation, equipment, and scientific methodologies.
• Analyzes data for accuracy and technical correctness.
• Interacts with clients and participates in audits.
• Leads investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ensures compliance with cGMP and training requirements.
