Job summary

Sutro Biopharma, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist, Formulation and DP Development to lead formulation and DP development for biologics and conjugates, and to create robust DP manufacturing processes to advance our pipeline in a fast-paced environment.

You will design and execute stability and in‑use studies, implement fit‑for‑purpose analytical methods for protein characterization, and collaborate with upstream/downstream teams and CMOs to ensure successful tech transfer and regulatory

Qualifications

BS/MS (12+ years) or PhD (7+ years) in a scientific discipline with demonstrated creativity.
Strong experience in pre‑formulation screening and protein/antibody/ADC development.
Experience with in‑use stability studies and compatibility with administration components.
Ability to design experiments and work independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities

Lead formulation and DP development for liquids and lyophilized forms for intermediates, drug substances and products.
Participate in technology transfer to CMOs and cross‑functional projects.
Design, execute, document stability and in‑use studies to support clinical and manufacturing processes.
Develop fit‑for‑purpose analytical methods for protein characterization and stability testing.
Communicate data at meetings and in regulatory filings with clarity and precision.
