Aequor in South San Francisco is seeking a Senior Scientist to advance biomarker assays via multiparametric flow cytometry in our biomarker laboratory. The role emphasizes independent thinking, experimental planning, data analysis, and effective communication of results.

With minimal supervision, you will design and execute experiments, document protocols, and ensure data quality while conforming to applicable guidelines and regulations.

• The role uses multiparametric flow cytometry in a biomarker lab to develop and qualify biomarker assays for clinical programs.
• Candidate should plan and perform lab experiments with minimal supervision and document protocols and results.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and to communicate findings to the group.
• Experiments should be designed to be robust and reproducible, following protocols and guidelines.
• Familiarity with transferring methods from literature to the lab and modifying as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors or follows experimental design to obtain reproducible results with limited supervision.
• Plans, conducts and records experiments, analyzes data and interprets results.
• Translates literature methods to the lab and makes necessary modifications.
• Develops and implements new protocols with moderate review.
• Engages in scientific discussions with coworkers and communicates data and interpretation.
• Develops systems to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoots equipment and experimental difficulties as needed.
• Contributes to reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents and patents.
• Participates in safety, recruiting and committee activities within the department.
• Coordinates and organizes resources to complete tasks and knows when to seek input.
