Job summary

Intertwine Associates LLC seeks a Senior Scientist/Engineer to support ARPA‑H initiatives, driving high‑risk, high‑reward research and development programs focused on transformative health outcomes through biotechnology and bioengineering. You will collaborate with the Program Manager and national teams to enable funding, execution, and management of new and existing R&D efforts.

The role emphasizes translation of deep scientific insight into program-level impact, with responsibilities spanning

Qualifications

PhD required in immunology, nucleic acid therapeutics, synthetic biology, or closely related field.
Experience across immunology, nucleic acid therapies, synthetic biology, cell engineering, or related disciplines.
Excellent scientific writing and ability to translate insights into program risks and recommendations.
Strong ability to digest complex data and present concise, executive-ready briefings.

Responsibilities

Serve as senior scientific advisor to the ARPA-H Program Manager and support new and existing R&D programs.
Evaluate scientific landscape to identify gaps, portfolio opportunities, and critical needs.
Support programs in immunology, nucleic acid therapeutics, synthetic biology, and related areas.
Monitor performer progress against milestones and metrics.
Prepare executive briefings by distilling large volumes of data.
Coordinate documentation, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
Assist with technical reviews, landscape assessments, and programmatic analysis.
Travel CONUS 10–20% for reviews, meetings, and engagements.
