Job summary

Genetix Biotherapeutics in Somerville, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist, Analytical Sciences to lead hands-on analytical development for CGT programs, design and execute assays, and drive transfer to external QC labs.

The role requires deep CGT analytic expertise (flow cytometry, ddPCR/qPCR, potency assays, ELISA), strong problem-solving, and collaboration across Technical Development, Operations and QA. This is a full-time on-site role in Somerville.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS with relevant industry experience in biopharmaceuticals/CGT.
• Hands-on CGT analytical techniques including flow cytometry, ddPCR/qPCR, potency assays, ELISA.
• Proven assay transfer experience to CDMOs/CROs and troubleshooting complex assays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical workflows to support project milestones and pipeline progression.
• Develop and qualify novel analytical assays and drive platform innovations.
• Own method transfer to external QC laboratories and oversee validation.
• Collaborate across Technical Development and Operations for data-driven decisions.
• Provide technical leadership with rigorous scientific standards.
