Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Seattle seeks a highly motivated Senior Scientist for the Cell Therapy Nonclinical Safety team. You will work in a fast‑paced lab, evaluating ex vivo and in vivo CAR T‑cell products and contributing to safety assessments of innovative therapies.

The role emphasizes designing sophisticated assays, translating results to project teams, and advancing preclinical safety strategies in cellular immunotherapy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant academic or industry experience with cell therapy or immunology.
• Strong publication record and/or scientific presentations.
• Experience designing, executing, and interpreting in‑vitro functional assays.
• Excellent laboratory skills in cell and molecular biology.
• Experience with primary cells & immortalized cell lines.
• Experience with flow cytometry and related data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to evaluate ex vivo CAR and in vivo CAR T‑cell products and toxicology challenges.
• Design and execute experiments to predict on- and off‑target risks using in‑vitro models.
• Develop expertise in engineered T‑cell therapies for preclinical safety evaluation.
• Communicate findings clearly to project teams and prepare technical reports.
• Deliver on short‑term goals while driving safety evaluation innovation.
