Job summary
Elanco, based in Kansas, is seeking a Sr. Scientist in Technical Services & Manufacturing Science, M&Q, to support commercial and pilot lab operations at the Elwood mAb facility.
You will serve as SME for products and processes, enabling tech transfer, scale-up, validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will partner with Manufacturing, Development, and Quality to drive studies, validation, and program execution, applying scientific and statistical methods to ensure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in bio/pharma tech, microbiology, engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of cGMP and regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Support technical and development studies, validation activities, and tech transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Apply statistical tools to improve process understanding and control.
- Contribute to design, development, execution, commissioning, and qualification of major projects.
- Define scope, evaluate design options, and establish user requirements for equipment and projects.
- Design and execute cleaning and process validation activities.
- Author and review technical docs including batch records, SOPs, risk assessments, and reports.
- Support safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement culture.
