Job summary

Lundbeck Seattle's Center of Excellence in Bothell, WA, seeks a Senior Scientist for Biologic Formulation Development. You will lead formulation work from concept to late-stage development, driving stability, degradation pathways, and product optimization.

As SME, you will partner with Upstream/Downstream, Analytical, Regulatory, and external CMOs to advance programs from IND through BLA, including regulatory documentation and tech transfer. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD with 5+ years in biologic formulation development.
• MS with 10+ years or BS with 12+ years acceptable.
• Strong knowledge of protein stability and degradation pathways.
• Experience with high-throughput formulation screening using DOE.
• Hands-on characterization: SEC-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, DLS, MFI.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust formulations for biologic drug products.
• Design, execute, and interpret DOE formulation screening studies.
• Evaluate protein stability using a broad analytical toolkit.
• Collaborate with internal teams and CMOs for tech transfer and scale-up.
• Author and review formulation development reports and regulatory docs.
• Present data and project updates to cross-functional teams.
