Job summary
Amgen in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Senior Scientist for Automation and HTS – Target Discovery & Biology (TD&B). You will lead automation efforts to integrate functional genomics screening, multi-omics profiling, and complex in vitro systems to reveal new biological insights and therapeutic targets.
You will drive automation pipelines, transfer manual protocols to 96- or 384-well formats, and collaborate across therapeutic areas to accelerate target discovery and prosecution.
Qualifications
- PhD required or equivalent substantiated experience in related field.
- Experience in functional genomic screening and high throughput workflows.
- Strong background in automation instrumentation and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation pipelines for arrayed genomic screens in high-throughput in vitro models.
- Transfer manual protocols to 96- or 384-well automation formats.
- Adapt iPSC differentiation and long-term culture to automated systems.
- Optimize high-content imaging assays and data analysis workflows.
- Evaluate new automation technologies to improve throughput.
- Lead a collaborative, cross-site research team to deliver impact.
