Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on contribution.
• Mentor junior engineers while leading on a team and contributing technically.
• Experience navigating large, complex codebases in a collaborative setting.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Direct experience in air and missile defense domains or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while remaining hands-on.
• Mentor and uplift junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and guidance.
• Lead by writing production-grade C++ and Python for mission-critical systems.
• Prototype and shepherd software from prototype to deployed implementation.
• Develop high-performance software across tactical systems and web apps.
• Use modeling/simulation tools to quantify technology benefits.
• Drive sprint planning and customer engagements for successful outcomes.
• Own the full software development lifecycle and communicate complex concepts.
