Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Strategic Defense to join a team protecting the United States and its allies with AI-native systems and real-time C2 capabilities. You will write production-grade code alongside elite peers, tackle networking, autonomy, and systems-integration challenges, and help deliver mission-critical software at scale.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of production software experience in C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
• End-to-end ownership: design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
• Debugging code and systems you didn’t write.
• Ability to make engineering decisions with incomplete requirements.
• Ability to explain tradeoffs to non-engineers (operators, hardware engineers).
• Eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions deployed to customers at the edge of innovation.
• Write code to improve C2 products and scale mission capabilities.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to build and test complex systems.
• Translate user needs into features while balancing UX and constraints.
• Travel 10–30% with the team to deploy capabilities in real-world environments.
