Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team, while staying hands-on in design, implementation, and code reviews.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead production-quality C++ and Python for mission-critical systems, and drive the path from prototype to deployed solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
• Contribute to and navigate large, complex codebases within a collaborative team.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
• Direct experience in air and missile defense domains (e.g., IBCS, Patriot, Aegis).
• Experience with Big data/NoSQL databases.
• Software design, algorithms, testing, and optimization.
• Applied mathematics: differential equations, linear algebra, optimization, statistics.
• Engineering topics: controls, estimation theory, and DSP.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance.

Responsabilités

• Shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while remaining hands-on in design, implementation, and code reviews.
• Mentor and up-level junior/mid-level engineers through pair programming and architectural discussions.
• Lead by example with production-quality C++ and Python powering mission-critical systems and enforce engineering excellence (CI/CD, unit testing, large-codebase collaboration).
• Prototype state-of-the-art software in an agile environment and guide the path from prototype to deployed implementation.
• Develop high-performance software spanning tactical systems to web applications.
• Use modeling/simulation, analysis tools, and techniques to quantify technology benefits.
• Drive technical interchanges, sprint planning, and customer engagements for mission-critical needs.
• Own all aspects of the software development lifecycle and navigate ambiguity and trade-offs.
• Explain complex concepts clearly to colleagues, customers, and non-technical stakeholders.
