Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced Science & Engineering Project Manager to join the Global Security Portfolio Management Office. You will architect and lead a centralized PMO, aligning cross-functional teams across space, security, and operations to deliver mission-ready capabilities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will drive performance, governance, and lifecycle practices, partnering with Mission Delivery teams to ensure program objectives are met on time and within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or higher.
• 5+ years S&E leadership and complex systems delivery experience within DOE/DoD or defense/aerospace industries.
• Current PMP certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Active DOE Q security clearance or equivalent required to start.

Responsibilities

• Establish Division Standards: Define, tailor, and govern divisional standards and engineering management best practices for lifecycle planning and execution.
• Advise Mission Teams & Drive Alignment: Break down silos to align cross-functional teams and provide PMO advisory support to program managers and engineers.
• Deliver Management Assurance via Design: Architect portfolio analytics, reporting mechanisms, and OKRs/KPIs, enabling governance and timely decisions.
• Govern the Product & Operational Lifecycle: Provide cross-cutting oversight across lifecycle phases, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and quality standards.
• Lead Cross-Cutting Engineering & Roadmaps: Develop integrated technical roadmaps, mature Technology Readiness Levels, and align capabilities with portfolio strategies.
