Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Senior/Principal Facilities Engineering Project Manager to lead complex facility and infrastructure projects onsite. You will coordinate internal and external engineering teams, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and cost per DOE and Sandia requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture with at least five years of project management experience, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture with 5+ years of experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Project Management.
• Experience with integration, scope, scheduling, cost estimation and management, communications planning and risk management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of internal/external engineers and architects to meet scope, schedule and cost requirements per DOE Orders and Sandia's requirements.
• Contribute to value engineering proposals to reduce project costs.
• Collaborate with project controls to manage risks and progress as planned.
• Capture customer technical requirements and provide design solutions and constructability reviews.
• Make technical and programmatic decisions and be accountable for results.
• Onsite work required; some travel to remote sites.
