Job summary

Fort Worth Independent School District is seeking a Coordinator IV – Secondary Science to coordinate science curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning for grades 6-12. This role supports campuses, teachers, principals, and district staff in implementing a rigorous, standards-aligned science program with HQIM and strong lesson design.

The position reports to the Director – Science, requires collaboration across the Curriculum and Instruction division, and may require

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Three years middle/high school science teaching with evidence of improved student achievement.
• Experience designing curriculum and delivering HQIM aligned to standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs and adapts HQIM for core science program ensuring alignment with FWISD framework.
• Identifies and evaluates instructional resources for adoption into curriculum.
• Leads district-wide professional learning plans based on data trends.
• Builds capacity of campus admins and teachers to implement HQIM with fidelity.
• Delivers instructional support, assessment, and professional learning.
