Qualifications

  • General knowledge of design and delivery issues related to alignment for best results in student achievement.
  • Ability to deliver instruction and manage student behavior.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
  • Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
  • Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
  • Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for individual needs.
  • Assess student learning and plan activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed.
  • Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals.
  • Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
  • Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
