Job summary

DSST Public Schools seeks an Associate School Director to serve as a senior leader across middle and high schools in the Denver/Aurora area. You will partner with the School Director to drive student achievement, develop educators, and strengthen schoolwide systems and culture.

You will coach teachers and leaders, manage priorities, and help recruit and develop future leaders while upholding DSST's commitment to equity and excellence. Start Summer 2027 with administrator training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience working in schools and classrooms.
• At least 2 years of school-based leadership experience in grades 6–12.
• Demonstrated success coaching, managing, and developing adults to improve student outcomes and professional growth.
• Deep commitment to educational equity and improving outcomes for all students.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop exceptional teams by partnering with the School Director to drive student achievement, culture, and operational excellence.
• Coach, supervise, and evaluate teachers and school leaders with actionable feedback and PD.
• Identify and develop emerging leaders and strengthen curriculum, instruction, and assessments.
• Collaborate with teachers and department leaders to ensure rigorous, standards-aligned instruction.
