Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED completed.
• Three years of industrial, commercial, or educational facility experience.
• Ability to follow standard custodial practices and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Review work performed by Facilities Serviceperson and others on shift.
• Instruct subordinates in use of supplies, equipment, chemicals, ladders and safety procedures.
• Perform duties of Facilities Serviceperson.
• Activate, monitor, adjust and operate boilers, AC equipment and power sources.
• Climb ladders to change light bulbs and perform minor repairs as directed.
• Ensure building security before departure and inspect perimeter.
• Notify supervisor of needed supplies and maintenance needs.
• Perform duties in the Head Custodian's absence when required.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe work area.
