Job summary

The position involves operating boilers and HVAC systems, performing minor repairs, and coordinating with administration to ensure reliable facilities services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Three years of facility experience.
• Ability to supervise others in the Head Custodian's absence.
• Plan and direct work, knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Able to lift up to 55 pounds and operate heavy cleaning machinery.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review work by Facilities Serviceperson and others on shift.
• Instruct staff in use of supplies, equipment and safety procedures.
• Perform duties of Facilities Serviceperson.
• Activate, monitor and adjust boilers and AC.
• Climb ladders to change bulbs and perform minor repairs.
• Verify school security before departure and inspect perimeter.
• Inform supervisor of supplies and maintenance needs.
• Perform duties of Head Facilities Serviceperson during vacations.
• Maintain safety and document time/materials.
• Support training programs and safety practices.
• Assist with complex tasks and follow district policies.
