Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Minimum three years in commercial cleaning and building maintenance.
• Minimum two years supervising other employees.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment for maintenance.
• Ability to use computer systems for work orders and email.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant of a large high school.
• All phases of interior cleaning by using hand and mechanical tools.
• Acquire and develop knowledge of the school's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Develop proficiency with emergency lighting, fire protection and security systems; perform drills and tests.
• Conduct grounds-keeping including snow removal.
• Make minor repairs to equipment and buildings.
• Make monthly safety checks of the facility and equipment.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory.
• Maintain and operate mechanical equipment.
• Provide custodial services to groups after hours and on non-school days.
