Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidate must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and maintain tools and equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising other employees or prior custodial supervision.
• Ability to use computer systems for ordering supplies, entering work orders, and emailing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise custodians under the direction of Custodial Engineer I.
• Maintain the physical plant of the school and perform interior cleaning with hand and machine tools.
• Develop knowledge of the school’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Order supplies, maintain inventory, and perform safety checks of the facility.
• Provide custodial services for after-hours and non-school day events as needed.
• Assist with coordinating second/third shift staff assignments.
