Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks a Construction Scheduler/Planner with 4+ years of experience and strong Primavera P6 expertise to support EPC, Design-Build, and CMAR projects in the Houston area. You will develop CPM schedules, baselines, track progress, forecast completion, and identify risks across multi-disciplined teams.

Responsibilities cover look-ahead planning, productivity tracking, and compliant documentation to meet milestones, budgets, and execution goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scheduling experience in utility transmission or similar projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including cost- and resource-loading schedules.
• Experience with Linear Scheduling and long-lead equipment planning.
• Familiarity with schedule analysis tools such as TILOS, Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.

About this Role

Scheduler – Utility T&D & Substation

Location: 15011 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094

Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel

Help bring critical power delivery and water infrastructure projects to life through expert construction scheduling and project planning. QISG is seeking a Construction Scheduler/Planner with 4+ years of experience and strong Primavera P6 expertise to support complex EPC, Design-Build, and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) projects.

You’ll develop and maintain CPM schedules, establish project baselines, track progress, forecast completion dates, and identify critical path risks and resource constraints before they impact delivery. Working closely with Business Development, Project Managers, and construction teams, you’ll translate project scope into actionable schedules, evaluate schedule impacts, and support mitigation strategies that keep projects aligned with milestones, budgets, and execution goals. This is an opportunity to contribute to diverse infrastructure projects and influence project outcomes from proposal development through construction and completion.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage LSM and CPM Primavera P6 schedules for utility transmission, substation, and renewable projects
• Build and maintain resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned with baselines and execution strategies
• Integrate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
• Perform critical path analysis, what-if scenarios, and productivity tracking
• Identify schedule risks, evaluate sequencing, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Produce earned value metrics, KPIs, and cash flow reports for project controls and executives
• Support look-ahead planning, short-interval schedules, and continuous improvement
• Maintain compliant schedule documentation per contract and company standards

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of scheduling experience supporting utility transmission lines (T-Line) and substations – required
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including cost- and resource-loaded schedule development
• Experience with Linear Scheduling, large-scale sitework, and long-lead equipment planning for utility projects
• Familiarity with TILOS, Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk, or similar schedule analysis tools
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
• Strong communication and influencing skills, coordinating across multiple departments
• Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
