Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) in Spring, TX is seeking a Senior Scheduler/Planner with hands-on Primavera P6 expertise to support electric distribution and substation projects. You will develop and maintain schedules, integrate inputs from multiple teams, and monitor progress against baselines.

The role requires 5+ years of scheduling experience in utility construction, strong CPM scheduling skills, and the ability to forecast schedule impacts while managing risks and resources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scheduling experience in electric distribution/substation/utility construction.
• Proficient Primavera P6 including baselines, logic, cost/resource loading.
• Experience with schedule forecasting, earned value, KPIs and schedule variance analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, field operations and project management teams.
• Experience on large-scale utility projects preferred.

Senior Scheduler/Planner - Distribution & Substation

Location: Spring, TX | Office-based Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel

Help deliver the utility infrastructure that keeps communities powered. Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Senior Scheduler/Planner with hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, and resource-loaded construction schedules to support electric distribution, substation, and utility infrastructure projects.

In this role, you’ll develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules from planning through construction and completion, integrating engineering, procurement, field operations, and construction activities into executable project plans. You’ll monitor progress against baselines, forecast schedule impacts, evaluate resource constraints, and develop mitigation and recovery strategies to protect key milestones. Working closely with Project Managers and field leadership, you’ll provide the schedule analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting needed to anticipate risks, resolve delays, and drive successful project delivery.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage CPM Primavera P6 schedules for utility distribution, substation, and related infrastructure projects
• Build and maintain resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned with project baselines and execution strategies
• Integrate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, field operations, and commissioning teams
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule updates, what-if scenarios, and productivity tracking
• Identify schedule risks, sequencing issues, and potential delays, and support mitigation planning
• Develop and maintain baseline schedules, progress updates, forecasts, and schedule narratives
• Produce earned value metrics, KPIs, cash flow reports, and other project controls reporting
• Support look-ahead planning, short-interval schedules, and field coordination
• Monitor actual progress against planned performance and identify schedule variances
• Maintain accurate and compliant schedule documentation in accordance with contract and company standards

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of scheduling experience supporting electric distribution, substation, or utility construction projects - required
• Strong Primavera P6 expertise, including schedule development, updates, logic, baselines, critical path analysis, and cost/resource loading
• Experience scheduling utility construction activities, including crews, materials, equipment, civil work, electrical installation, and commissioning
• Understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, resource constraints, and field execution
• Experience with schedule forecasting, earned value, KPIs, and schedule variance analysis
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, procurement, construction, field operations, and project management teams
• Experience with large-scale utility or EPC projects preferred
• Familiarity with Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk or similar schedule analysis tools preferred
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
