Job summary

Sure Steel is seeking a full-time Scheduler in Chandler, AZ to support structural steel and PEMB operations. You will analyze General Contractor schedules, identify risks, and develop detailed erection schedules for steel and PEMB scopes.

Collaboration with Estimating, Project Management, Operations, and leadership is essential. The role requires strong scheduling experience in construction, excellent analytical ability, and a thorough understanding of steel erection sequencing and project

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction scheduling experience and knowledge of CPM scheduling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing construction schedules.
• Ability to build construction schedules from conceptual information.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review General Contractor baseline schedules during the bidding process.
• Analyze milestones, constraints, access requirements, and critical path activities.
• Identify schedule risks, logic concerns, or sequencing issues affecting scope.
• Develop preliminary structural steel and PEMB erection schedules for bids.
• Assist estimating teams with schedule evaluations and duration assumptions.
• Provide schedule-driven manpower forecasts and production planning recommendations.
• Participate in bid review meetings and schedule strategy discussions.
• Develop detailed erection schedules for awarded projects.
• Create manpower-loading projections based on production durations.
• Evaluate schedule updates and their impacts on Sure Steel's work.
• Assist teams with recovery plans and acceleration strategies.
• Analyze delays and communicate impacts to management.
• Support schedule narratives and delay notices.
• Track milestones, material deliveries, fabrication durations, and site readiness.
• Verify production assumptions with field leadership.
• Generate schedule status reports and dashboards.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule-driven risks.
• Monitor labor productivity against planned rates.
• Provide executive-level schedule summaries and recommendations.
• Maintain scheduling templates, standards, and best practices.
