Job summary

WHB Engineers in San Diego invites a Scheduler/Planning & Controls Engineer with 5–10 years of project management experience to develop and maintain cost and resource loaded CPM schedules using Primavera P6 for large Southern California projects.

You will review plans, coordinate with internal teams and clients, provide data-driven insights for executive decisions, and help ensure work stays on schedule and within budget. Strong communication and self-motivation are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 Professional and Microsoft Office.
• Minimum of five years of practical work experience.
• Write, review and critique baseline and update schedules for civil infra projects.
• Provide technical direction to engineers, CAD technicians, or other staff.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to establish project baseline schedules.
• Build and maintain cost and resource loaded schedules and update actuals.
• Review monthly reports and provide executive summaries.
• Perform network logic analysis to validate sequencing and critical path.
• Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) to validate risks and recovery options.
• Coordinate schedule activities with internal teams, contractors and clients.
• Provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
• Assist in managing projects to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct construction site inspections and attend progress meetings.
