Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior Scheduler for a project at the Austin Bergstrom Airport. The role involves creating and maintaining schedules for multiple construction projects, coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and leading scheduling meetings.

Travel may be required as projects evolve. Ideal candidates have a solid background in construction scheduling, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or relevant discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 6 to 8 years of scheduling experience on commercial construction projects; some field experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of construction materials, means, and methods.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and related scheduling software.
• Travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed schedules for commercial construction projects.
• Reviews subcontractor schedules for alignment with the master schedule.
• Maintains and updates project schedules and reports status to the team.
• Leads scheduling meetings with project staff and subcontractors.
• Coordinates procurement tasks within schedules.
• Interfaces with owners and architects to discuss durations and sequencing.
• Mentors junior staff on scheduling fundamentals.
