CFD Research Corporation in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a senior software engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing physics-based 3D radiometric scene generation workflows for intelligence and defense applications.

You will design, implement, and validate sensor simulation, edge and multi-GPU rendering, and ML integration across the full software life cycle, from requirements to deployment, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related STEM field (desired).
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in physics-based EO/IR and/or RF scene generation.
• Strong foundation in radiometry, optics, EM theory, or physics for scene generation.
• Deep experience in software engineering (C/C++ or Python) and graphics/GPU acceleration frameworks.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development.
• Experience with real-time HWIL simulations, T&E, and V&V methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Bridge physical sensor modeling, graphics rendering, and machine learning pipelines.
• Contribute across full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and performance optimization.
