Job summary

CFD Research in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Software Developer to join a multidisciplinary team building cutting-edge tools to analyze and visualize complex simulation data for missile defense systems. You will streamline Post-Test Analysis (PTA) processes and accelerate test-case generation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field and 2+ years of software experience; strong Python, MATLAB, and C++ skills; and the ability to work in an Agile environment with Jira and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Math/Statistics, Physics or related STEM discipline with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and C++ with ability to pick up others.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trade studies to evaluate PTA tools and present findings to leadership.
• Maintain and prioritize feature backlogs in Jira with the GSD team; write, test, and deploy code within PTA tools.
• Streamline input generation to speed up building complex test cases.
• Conduct progress demos of working test scripts and author user guides on analysis best practices.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand CONOPs, test procedures, and data/message parameters.
