Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Scaffold Supervisor to oversee a subcontracted labor force within the shipyard. You will manage scaffold materials, track manpower, report progress, and help control the budget while enforcing safety rules.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years in shipyards or heavy steel structures, and holds a valid OSHA Scaffold Competent Person Certificate; OSHA 10/30 are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in shipyards, ship repair, or heavy steel structure manufacturing.
• Supervisory experience leading production teams.
• Valid OSHA Scaffold Competent Person Certificate (OSHA 10/30 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontracted labor and coordinate schedules.
• Manage scaffold material inventory and fulfill scaffold requests on time.
• Maintain scaffold request system and prioritize jobs accordingly.
• Ensure proper condition of team mobile equipment and arrange timely repairs.
• Evaluate the necessity of staging and explore alternative access methods.
• Uphold safe and clean working conditions across assigned locations.
