Job summary

Insight Global in Orlando, FL is seeking a supervising Utilities Technician with expertise in water and wastewater systems to oversee operations and lead a team. You will guide staff, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating preventive maintenance for pumps, mixers, and related equipment.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience in utilities, and the ability to develop SOPs and respond to trouble calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years utilities-related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience may be substituted.
• Valid Florida driver's license may be required.
• Preferences include Water and/or Wastewater; Associates degree in related field; Education/training in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct customers and staff while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain operation database and records; complete purchase orders for supplies and general operations.
• Supervise personnel; set schedules and provide daily assignments and direction.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and contracting policies and procedures.
• Perform quality checks, respond to trouble calls and act as standby supervisor; provide training and resolve issues.
