Job summary

DESRI Project Management Services, L.L.C. in New York, NY, seeks a Manager of SCADA Engineering to lead SCADA systems across DESRI's portfolio, including utility-scale solar, battery storage, and hybrid projects.

You will drive design reviews, integration, and implementation of SCADA with EMS, BMS, and plant controllers. You will collaborate with Engineering, Development, Construction, Operations, Asset Management, IT, and EPC partners to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable SCADA solutions

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is required. A master’s degree in engineering, controls, or renewable energy systems is a plus.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in SCADA, controls, or power systems integration.
• Experience with utility-scale battery energy storage systems; familiarity with EMS, BMS, PCS, and plant controllers; development or management of points lists, alarm configurations, and data mapping between systems.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA architectures, industrial communication protocols, data management, and system testing/commissioning; familiarity with NERC/CIP, cybersecurity, and telemetry requirements.
• Occasional travel to project sites and vendor facilities; salary base is $150,000–$170,000 with year-end bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support SCADA and controls integration for utility-scale battery storage projects, ensuring robust performance and operational readiness.
• Conduct detailed SCADA design reviews, define technical specifications, and support EPC scoping and vendor selection for controls and monitoring systems.
• Develop integration strategies to connect battery systems with EMS, plant controllers, and DESRI’s central monitoring platform.
• Create and maintain points lists, alarm and data mapping documentation, and tag naming conventions for BESS and related infrastructure.
