Job summary

AspenTech seeks an energetic Senior Engineering Technician to join a DoD-focused team in Columbia, MD. You will design, implement, administer, and maintain the client’s SCADA system across campus and enterprise sites, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of field experience, a Building Automation or related technical background, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field or service experience in a related discipline.
• Associates Degree in Building Automation Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or other technical focus, or 5 years work in HVAC/SCADA controls installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical lines and blueprints.
• Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of electric utilities, power systems, communications, control systems or networking helpful.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with SCADA database and display design packages.
• Create and integrate SCADA databases and displays with field equipment.
• Support field testing and commissioning events for SCADA changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time system and communication issues.
