Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Engineer to standardize and deploy data center controls systems (BMS, BAS, EPMS, SCADA) across a global portfolio. You will design, validate, commission, and support lifecycle activities to ensure safe, reliable, scalable operations for AI-infrastructure data centers.

Partner with Data Center Design/Build, Operations, and vendors to ensure effective integration, architecture, and operational outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in data center engineering or mission-critical infra.
• Experience designing, integrating, or deploying BMS/BAS/EPMS/SCADA in complex facilities.
• Controls system architectures and field instrumentation.
• SCADA and historian platforms.
• Alarm management and monitoring strategies.
• OT networking fundamentals and system integration.
• Industrial protocols: BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BMS, BAS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for data center builds and retrofit projects.
• Develop controls standards, reference designs, and engineering specs.
• Define controls architectures, topology, protocols, tagging, alarms, historian requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical teams for integration.
• Support interoperability between controls and analytics platforms.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure standards and reliability.
• Provide input on controls architecture and instrumentation strategies.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Troubleshoot controls and SCADA issues during design, construction, commissioning.
• Support commissioning and operational readiness with testing.
• Validate vendor deliverables and open protocol access.
• Validate alarms, data integrity, and performance before handover.
• Contribute to RCA and post-incident reviews.
