Job summary

ERock seeks a Principal SCADA Engineer & Team Lead to set technical direction for VTSCADA and real‑time systems across a growing fleet of distributed energy assets. You will own the SCADA roadmap, architect scalable solutions, and mentor a high‑performing team of engineers and technicians.

You will partner with Operations, IT, Cybersecurity and leadership to ensure secure, reliable operations and rapid fleet growth, while maintaining compliance and incident response readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of SCADA engineering experience in energy, gas or electric utility environments.
• 7+ years supporting real‑time operational systems.
• Deep experience with ICCP integrations and ERCOT data exchange.
• Strong knowledge of grid operations, telemetry, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Define long‑term SCADA strategy, roadmap, and architecture for distributed generation and microgrids.
• Lead development and maintenance of SCADA systems and data flow with cross‑functional teams.
• Oversee on‑call coverage for 24x7 Microgrid Control Center and ensure system reliability.
• Architect ICCP integrations and secure data exchange with ERCOT and ISOs.
• Direct engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and multi‑site deployments.
• Mentor and develop SCADA engineers; drive governance and change management.
