Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Principal SCADA Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise SCADA systems supporting remote operations of renewables and substations.

You will lead architecture, design, procurement, integration, testing, and lifecycle management, while establishing standards and guiding cross-functional teams across Engineering, IT, Compliance, and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in SCADA or OT environments.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent cybersecurity certification is preferred.
• Experience with lifecycle management of enterprise-grade SCADA systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Define current-state and target-state SCADA architectures for enterprise systems.
• Lead procurement-ready specifications, interface documents, and testing requirements.
• Oversee vendor and integrator activities, reviews, and deployments across sites.
• Coordinate with Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Construction teams.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, including factory and site tests.
• Develop lifecycle roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures.
