Job summary

Bridgewater Bank, a leading Minnesota-based entrepreneurial bank, seeks an experienced SBA Senior Credit Analyst to join the Credit and SBA teams in St. Louis Park. You will evaluate financial condition and SBA eligibility, support lending decisions, and ensure compliance and portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with commercial credit analysis and underwriting for SBA lending programs.
• Strong knowledge of SBA lending programs and commercial loan structures.
• Superior analytical/reasoning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple loan requests and meet established deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare credit presentations with cash flow analysis, forecasting, industry trends, and loan histories.
• Verify eligibility of borrowers, loan purposes, collateral, and SBA program requirements.
• Review and analyze loan requests, financial information, appraisals, and title insurance for large deals.
• Ensure compliance with SBA SOPs, program requirements, and internal policies.
• Maintain SBA guaranty integrity through accurate documentation from initial approval to closing.
• Collaborate with SBA Bankers and Portfolio Managers to maintain client relationships.
• Assign risk ratings and prepare annual reviews of loan relationships.
• Mentor other Credit Analysts and support risk management initiatives.
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and recommendations on loan structure and pricing.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure accuracy.
• Support special projects to manage lending risks.
• Stay updated on supporting software, compliance, and procedures.
