Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer in State College, PA, to join the EMIT program. You will lead integration and testing of advanced satellite ground systems within a fast-paced Agile/DevOps setting.

You will design Java-based software, implement automated tests, and collaborate with engineering teams and customers to ensure system readiness and successful demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with unit testing tools such as JUnit.
• Experience integrating, testing, and troubleshooting systems, interfaces, and messages including reading ICDs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and synchronize integration plans across multiple stakeholders to enable large system integration.
• Participate in enterprise-level working groups for early integration, demonstration, and regression testing.
• Design, develop, and test Java-based software for satellite ground systems in a Linux environment.
• Implement automated tests to validate mission functionality and readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders to align priorities and test strategies.
• Read logs, analyze data, and troubleshoot interfaces and messages.
