Raytheon is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Technician to design, implement, and maintain software infrastructure for satellite ground systems in State College, PA. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, four years of experience, and an active TS/SCI clearance.

This role involves collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure high-performance solutions and will require expertise in VMware, AWS, and various programming and scripting languages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with four (4) years of experience.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• Experience with software infrastructure in IT or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and software engineers.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Work across multiple engineering disciplines in an agile DevSecOps environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including design documents and user manuals.
• Define, develop, and prototype software scripts and virtualization environments.
• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Experience with software infrastructure in IT or software engineering

Willingness to perform infrastructure work

CompTIA Security+ certification

Experience with VMware

Experience with AWS

Experience with Puppet

Experience with Ansible

Experience with Linux administration
