Job summary

Raytheon in the United States is seeking a Principal Signals Software Engineer with a focus on RF, Fourier and digital signal processing for our satellite ground systems team. This onsite role supports multiple locations including State College, PA, Ft. Meade, MD, or Aurora, CO.

You will design, develop, test, and optimize signal processing software and lead development teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities for secure satellite communications.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship; clearance adjudicated within last 3 years.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a Signals Software Engineer on RF-focused projects including Fourier transforms and DSP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify software systems using models to predict outcomes.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate signal processing software with satellite ground systems.
• Develop and implement algorithms for signal processing including Fourier transforms and RF processing.
• Analyze and optimize signal processing algorithms for performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing software.
• Lead one or more software development teams and ensure work follows the chosen software process.
• Follow established software processes and maintenance of operations concepts and requirements.
